Apostolos - Pavlos, born on January 5, 2010, is a rising talent in the field of alpine skiing, a sport that rarely gives international distinctions in Greece. From a very young age he started his exciting journey in the world of skiing having many who believe in his talent. Since then he has not stopped evolving.
Despite his young age, he has already left his mark with excellent performances, winning podiums in international competitions and making our country proud.

A journey that started early
Apostolos - Pavlos involvement with the sport began at the age of 4 years old due to his father, who has been trained at the French National School of Skiing & Alpine Skiing (ENSA) as a ski coach and ski instructor. Growing up in a family dedicated to skiing, he had the opportunity from a young age to be exposed to the sport and surrounded by professionals.
Sacrifices and work to the top
This success comes at great personal & family cost, as he has to travel abroad constantly to train, spending endless hours away from home. His determination and strength to overcome adversity make Apostolos a shining example of dedication and passion for sport, inspiring those who know him and follow his progress.
Ambition for the next distinctions
With basic Atomic ski equipment, he competes in the U16 category, having already raised the Greek flag many times on the podium. Apostolos is in a 4-year preparation period with the aim of participating in the 2028 Youth Olympics, having the ambition to distinguish himself among the world's top athletes.

His hobbies include various sports, such as swimming, gymnastics, football, basketball and tennis, while he excels in sailing, participating in races of the Nautical Club of Skiathos. The sea is as important to him as the mountain. Apart from sports, he is involved in music, playing the drums, which offers him relaxation and release.
He participated for many years in the activities of the camp YMCA Pelion, with distinctions as a Polynesian athlete, while learning to cooperate, coexist with others and work as a team. Daily morning wake-ups, a well-cared for & nutritionally balanced diet, school commitments, afternoon workouts at the gym and lots of travel is his routine.
Apostolos-Pavlos Letsios is inspired by top skiers, such as Henrik Kristoffersen and AJ Ginnis, who stand out at the World Cup. He studies their everyday life and lifestyle, finding motivation to become better and better. His father, however, has been and continues to be his main role model, as he guides him to continue his journey with humility and patience.
The athlete has achieved significant distinctions, winning 1st place in his category in Greece from 2022 to 2024 consecutively. At the same time, he has participated in numerous international competitions, motivated to gain experience in the sport, to test his skills in different conditions and to establish his position in the world ranking. His achievements require great sacrifices, such as limited free time and frequent travel for training, due to the lack of suitable facilities and skiing conditions in Greece.
Domestic distinctions
Having achieved significant successes at national level in his category, his progress in alpine skiing is accompanied by distinctions that reflect hard work and dedication.
March 2023
1st place at the Panhellenic Alpine Championships U14, Parnassos, 23/3/2023, in the Slalom event.
March 2022
1st place at the Panhellenic Alpine Championships in the category Panpida, Anilio, 26/3/2022, both in Slalom (SL) and Giant Slalom (GS).
2021 & 2022
Greek Cup Winner of Alpine Racing for the seasons 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.

The moment when the National Anthem was heard
of Greece was priceless.

April 2024
La Scara, Val d'Isère, France had the opportunity to test my skills in new challenges:
- Day 1: Super G, FIS U14 category - 32nd place.
First time on Super G skis, a unique experience!
- Day 2: Slalom, FIS U14 category - 11th place. Apostolos le Grek is remembered by the French !
